Maple Leafs hire Derek Clancey as assistant GM
Experienced executive joins Toronto front office

The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Tuesday that they have hired Derek Clancey as assistant general manager, player personnel.
Clancey, 54, has over 20 years of experience in the NHL, including stints with the Pittsburgh Penguins, Vancouver Canucks, and Buffalo Sabres.
He was most recently the assistant general manager of the Canucks, where he was responsible for player personnel decisions.
